NCC Group named as NCSC Cyber Resilience Testing (CRT) scheme partner

09 juli 2025

NCC Group has been named as one of the first accredited partners of the UK’s new Cyber Resilience Testing (CRT) scheme, launched by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

The CRT scheme is a major step forward in product assurance, designed to raise the bar for securing connected technology products and provide buyers with meaningful insight into the resilience of the products they choose. It is underpinned by a Principles-Based Assurance (PBA) methodology, using a Claims, Arguments, and Evidence (CAE) approach to assess whether products meet key security goals.

As one of only three accredited test laboratories at launch, NCC Group will play a central role in delivering CRT assessments across a wide range of connected technologies. The scheme is designed to support the UK’s digital growth ambitions by helping organisations understand what has been demonstrated, what depends on deployment context, and where risk remains.

Shabrez Raja, Principal Security Consultant at NCC Group, commented:

“We’re proud to be one of the first three organisations accredited under the NCSC’s Cyber Resilience Testing scheme. This recognition reflects our deep commitment to advancing product security and supporting the UK’s digital resilience.

CRT marks a pivotal shift toward outcome-focused assurance, and we’re excited to help shape its future by working closely with clients to demonstrate the security of their connected technologies through evidence-led evaluation.”
