Tweakers interviewed Foxer Joachim Schipper about the the impact of quantum computers. Schipper works as a cryptographer at Fox-IT. His department is responsible for encrypting the Dutch state secrets. About quantum computers, he said: “I’m very sceptical when it comes to quantum computers, but still we are preparing ourselves. If there is a 1% chance that there will be a usable quantum computer in 30 years, it will probably be the greatest cryptographic threat to our state secrets.”
