• High availability for one-way network connectors

  Research functionality of the Fox DataDiode and high-availability aspects thereof. Determine requirements for a high-availability Fox DataDiode setup, and how a system can be tested to ensure it meets those requirements. Investigate existing Linux-based high-availability solutions, and whether they could be used within a Fox DataDiode setup. Build one or more high availability setups, and perform extensive tests to show that it meets its requirements.

• Active Directory integration in common Linux services

  Research Active Directory (AD) and use of AD from a Linux platform. Investigate common Linux file transfer services, such as CIFS servers and FTP servers, and how AD could increase ease of management. Create one or more system configurations and network setups showing how such Linux services and integrate AD for user authentication and authorization. Programming Linux server scripts or service plug-ins may be necessary.

• Wiki-based document management
