According to Henk Karman, the way in which specialists from Fox-IT support NOC*NSF is at least as important as the way in which they sell their products. The ability to take immediate action and to act appropriately in the face of exceptional circumstances is of indisputable value.For NOC*NSF, ICT is an important key objective in the service they supply to many of the affiliated sports federations. These range from the ‘major players’ such as the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) with 1.1 million members, to federations with a few thousand members and no large ICT department of their own. Henk Karman, who is Program Manager for Nederland Sportland Digital* is responsible for a large part of NOC*NSF’s ICT services. Netherlands Sportland Digital is one of the programs that we use to develop the services provided to sports federations. Programs of this kind usually consist of multiple projects. A digital ID photo service is one recent example. This enables athletes to send a digital copy of their ID photograph directly to their association via one of the 550 participating digital photographic shops. This avoids the need for photographic prints to be made and posted off individually."
The agreements between NOC*NSF and Fox-IT have recently been reassessed.
