Central Bank of Aruba

Fox-IT supports the Central Bank of Aruba by raising the security of the bank’s information and IT systems to a higher level. In this day and age information security is a must, which requires the assistance of a specialist like Fox-IT. Raiza Fraser-Blijde, Information Systems Manager of the Central Bank of Aruba feels that trust is an essential element of this relationship. In addition, the fact that Fox-IT has a branch in Aruba, makes working together a lot easier.

"Fox-IT was introduced to us two years ago by another institution on the island. One of the company’s directors, Menno van der Marel, was in Aruba at that time. He paid us a visit to see whether Fox-IT could be of service to the bank", Mr Raiza Fraser-Blijde recalls. "We then invited Fox-IT to tender for various ICT projects. Further discussions on this matter were conducted with Roland Vergeer at the start of 2006. The first project got under way in April of last year. In view of past performance, coupled with the relationship of trust that has developed, I have no hesitation in describing this as a strategic cooperative effort."

Proven performance

To date, the bank’s dealings with Fox-IT have been highly satisfactory. "It is a very professional organization, and its procedures meet the highest best-practice standards. We are currently making full use of Fox-IT’s knowledge and expertise, as the optimization of IT security is an important element in our policy for the next few years. We consider effective liaison with a reliable partner to be of vital importance. Fox-IT’s pledge that the staff involved are subject to screening, coupled with the high level of the solutions proposed by the company, are guarantee enough for us. Moreover, they are not only consummate professionals but also fine people to work with."

For the bank, the fact that Fox-IT also has a branch in Aruba is the icing on the cake. Mr Raiza points out that "The Central Bank feels that personal contact and the presence of a branch on the island are important preconditions for this business relationship. Moreover, it is reassuring that experts in the Netherlands can always be called upon for assistance with specific topics."

"Fox-IT is a highly professional organization, one which operates in accordance with the highest best-practice standards."
